Monsteras tend to thrive in bright to medium indirect light and require water every 1-2 weeks, letting the soil dry out between waterings. Don't water Monsteras if the soil hasn't dried out.
Normal UK humidity is fine, but like most plants they can benefit from the higher humidity of a bathroom or kitchen. Always use a well-draining houseplant soil to ensure good drainage and reduce the risk of root rot. You can always mix perlite in with your soil to enhance the drainage.
