The Maranta is a species of flowering plant with stunning leaves. The name comes from the fact the leaves close on an evening, giving the leaves a praying action.
They love a good amount of bright, indirect sunlight to keep the leaves vibrant. Water regularly over the summer, once a week is enough unless the soil dries out much quicker. Not suited for intense, direct sun. This plant is non-toxic. Safe to be around children and pets.
